Worcester Bosch Gas Boilers

Worcester Bosch reviews

Worcester Bosch, part of the Bosch Group, has been manufacturing gas, LPG and oil-fired boilers in the United Kingdom for more than four decades. Each of its range of combination – or "combi" for short – regular and system boilers carries the "Energy Saving Recommended" label, and converts at least 90% of the fuel consumed into useful heat.

Worcester Bosch boilers of the gas-fired "condensing" type – the type favoured by Building Regulation Part L1 – are up to 30% more economical to run than their conventional predecessors and may result in savings of up to 20% on domestic heating bills. High efficiency condensing boilers such as the Greenstar CDi boiler series – which can run on natural gas or LPG – employ a larger heat exchanger to recycle heat that would otherwise disappear out of the boiler flue.

The current range of Worcester Bosch boilers also includes regular or conventional boilers – which require a feed and expansion cistern and a hot water storage cylinder– and system boilers. System boilers do not require a feed and expansion cistern and as water is pumped by the boiler to radiators, etc., they are more responsive and economical than conventional boilers. The Greenstar CDi Conventional and Greenstar CDi System boiler series are examples of either type from the range of Worcester Bosch boilers.

Oil-fired boilers are, of course, also included in the Worcester Bosch boilers range; the Greenstar Heatslave series for example is a collection of oil-fired boilers which can reduce domestic heating costs by up to 10%.
