ATAG Gas Boilers

ATAG reviews

ATAG Verwarming Nederland B.V. is, as the name suggests, a Dutch company, but its United Kingdom subsidiary, AT Heating U.K. Limited, has been producing heating appliances for the British market for over 25 years. The range of ATAG boilers include combination and system models, all of which feature stainless steel heat exchangers and modulating control over a wide range of temperatures. This means that ATAG boilers are highly energy efficient – over 98% energy efficient in some cases, and therefore rated "A" for energy efficiency according to SEDBUK ("Seasonal Efficiency of Domestic Boilers in the United Kingdom").

Perhaps the most innovative of the ATAG boilers is the Blauwe Engel – in English, "Blue Angel" – an RS ("Room Sealed") condensing boiler, with the option of a central heating facility. The Blauwe Engel features an inverted, pre-mixing, ceramic burner, which allows a low flame height. This, in turn, allows the dimensions of the boiler unit to be compact, which reduces energy loss by radiation, or convection. Indeed, the Blauwe Engel is over 98% energy efficient, with minimal environmental emissions.

The same stainless steel heat exchanger technology is applied to the other ranges of ATAG boilers, the "Q" and the "E" series. The ATAG Q25S, for example, is a condensing system boiler, with a maximum output of 25kW for domestic hot water and central heating. The ATAG E22C, as an alternative, is a compact, 22kW, condensing boiler, offering domestic hot water at a rate of 10.7 litres per minute, and ultra low carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
