Ideal icos HE
The ethos behind the Ideal icos HE is one of efficiency, style and ease of use and maintenance, with the HE moniker standing for High-Efficiency, and unifying a range of similar Ideal boilers. The icos HE is designed to require as little servicing and maintenance as possible and to ensure fuel economy and powerful heating ability, all wrapped up in a modern, stylish package. The icose HE is a heat-only boiler with extremely flexible siting options, and this flexibility and functionality is detailed in some of its key features below.
- Rated A under the SEDBUK system, which means it operates with an efficiency level in excess of 90%
- The Ideal icos HE shares many components with other boilers in the HE range, meaning that replacement parts for servicing are not in short supply
- The icos HE can be installed in a Fully Pumped System, which means that one pump moves all of the heat around the entire system, with valves controlling the heat distribution, allowing unprecedented user control . Also allows a back up immersion heater to become part of the system should the main boiler fail
- Improved efficiency can be gleaned if the icos HE is installed as part of a Fully Pumped Sealed System, which trap the water in a closed, pressurised circuit which lowers maintenance.
- Comprehensive and flexible flueing systems are available, including the newly developed V3 system from Ideal which introduces plastic flueing kits. The 80mm diameter twin-pipe flueing system, or the compact 60mm allows up to 60m of flue length, horizontally or vertically, meaning the icos HE can be sited virtually anywhere
- CH thermostat for variable temperature control allows operating temperatures of 30º-82º
